We are looking for a passionate and skilled throwing tutor who would be confident to teach both beginners and advanced group throwing courses.
We are a friendly, community pottery studio that teaches weekly and one off hand building and throwing courses.
Our group throwing courses have a maximum of 4 people in a session. We are looking for a tutor to cover the following courses:
Monday 4-6pm (throwing)
Monday 6:30-9pm (predominantly handbuilding)
Thursday 1-3:30pm (throwing)
Friday 1-3pm (throwing)
- Tutors are freelance.
- We offer competitive rates of pay.
- Courses run during term time but there is potential of running additional weekend and out of term courses.

Job Requirements:​
- Proficient in wheel throwing and hand-building techniques.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience in ceramics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
- Ability to explain techniques clearly and adapt teaching style to individual learning needs.
- Lead fun, engaging pottery classes. We endeavour to ensure our students are always learning new skills and so require our tutors to design and plan thoughtful, inspiring projects for our courses.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable leading group classes independently.

-Foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere that encourages creativity, learning, and community.​
- Offer one-on-one guidance and troubleshooting during classes to help students grow their confidence and skill.
- Maintain a clean, organised studio environment before, during, and after sessions.
- Collect and share student feedback with the studio owner to support ongoing improvements in class experience.
